1. Who we are and what you are agreeing to

Resonance is a live game and LiveOps platform operated by Blacksword Entertainment Inc. ("Resonance", "we", "us"). Players play, earn and spend in the game; brands run events, reward programs and collections on it.

By creating an account, playing, or otherwise using Resonance, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Resonance. Brands that book events or services through the Partner Portal also accept our Standard Partner Terms, which apply alongside these Terms.

2. Your account

• An account is created only when you choose to sign in (social login, email or wallet, through our authentication provider). You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live.
• You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for everything that happens on your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has accessed it.
• One person, one player. Do not create or control multiple accounts to farm rewards, events or leaderboards.

3. Resonance is ours

Resonance, including the platform, the game, its worlds, characters, avatars and their designs, art, lore, music, game data, economy, software and our brands, is owned by Blacksword Entertainment Inc. or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and play Resonance for your own non-commercial use, in line with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, scrape, reverse-engineer, resell or build competing products from Resonance or its content, except as the law expressly allows.

If you send us ideas, feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely without any obligation to you.

4. RSNC, items and tokens

• RSNC, in-game items, avatars, cosmetics and other game content are part of the game. They are not money, not a deposit, not a security and not an investment, and we do not promise they will have or keep any value.
• Some items are recorded on a public blockchain. The record of your token is yours, but what an item does inside Resonance, including its stats, uses and availability, is part of the game and governed by these Terms.
• You may trade items only through the features Resonance provides. Selling accounts, or selling items for money outside the game, is not supported, and we are not responsible for any outside deal.

5. How we run the game

Resonance is a live game, and running it well means changing it. To keep the game fair, healthy and sustainable, we may at any time, at our discretion:

• add, change, rebalance or remove features, worlds, events, items, recipes, rewards, drop rates, prices, currencies and game rules;
• start, extend, shorten, pause or end events and seasons, and decide how rewards and leaderboards are calculated;
• reset, correct or roll back balances, items or progress affected by bugs, exploits, errors or fraud, including removing items or rewards granted in error;
• limit, pause or take down any part of the service for maintenance, security or operational reasons; and
• decide how our economy works, including emissions, sinks and limits.

6. Fair play

Play honestly. In particular, do not:

• use bots, scripts, macros or automation beyond what the game itself provides;
• exploit bugs or unintended mechanics (report them instead);
• manipulate leaderboards, events, rewards or the economy, alone or with others;
• harass, impersonate or defraud other players, brands or our team;
• interfere with, overload or attack the service or its security; or
• use Resonance for anything unlawful.

7. Enforcement

If we believe you have broken these Terms, we may, at our discretion and in proportion to the issue, warn you, remove items, rewards or progress, restrict features, remove you from events or leaderboards, or suspend or close your account. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why. Serious cases, such as fraud, abuse or illegal activity, may be acted on immediately.

8. Purchases

• Prices are shown before you buy, in USDSC or another payment method we offer. Taxes may apply.
• Purchases of digital items, time-savers and services are final once delivered, except where the law requires otherwise or where we fail to deliver what you bought.
• Subscriptions renew until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the period you paid for, with no partial refunds.
• If a payment is reversed or charged back, we may remove what it bought.

9. Brands and partners

Brands that run programs, events or collections on Resonance are bound by these Terms and the Standard Partner Terms. Perks and rewards offered by a brand are that brand’s responsibility; if a brand fails to deliver, we will help where we can and may remove brands that do not meet our standards.

10. Third-party services

Resonance relies on third-party services, including authentication, wallets, payment processors, blockchains and community platforms such as Discord. Their terms apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for their availability, fees or actions.

11. Your data

We collect what we need to run the service and do not sell your personal data. Blockchain records are public and permanent. See our Privacy Policy for details, including how to request deletion of off-chain data.

12. Disclaimers and liability

• Resonance is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any feature, event, item or reward will remain available.
• To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or virtual items.
• Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of USD 100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
• You agree to compensate us for losses caused by your breach of these Terms or misuse of Resonance.

13. Ending your use

You may stop using Resonance at any time. We may suspend or end your access as described in section 7, or if we stop offering the service. When your access ends, your licence ends; sections that by their nature should continue, such as ownership, liability and governing law, continue to apply.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. For material changes we will give notice on the site or in the game before they take effect. If you keep using Resonance after that, you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless the law where you live gives you a right to bring a claim there.
